In today’s never-ending world of advancing technology, AI has become more present, and it is starting to become present in the watch world. From content, ads, and many other aspects, we are seeing it more and more.

At Land Diver Society, we are okay with the use of AI on a somewhat limited basis. Today, we want to go over how AI is used. This is mainly to answer a question or two we have been getting due to people asking because a few of our Instagram posts have had the AI notification attached.

First and foremost, all content that L.D.S. has is an original idea of us and our team.

On our photo and image content, we utilize AI for a couple different things.

First and foremost, we use it to create different ad posters, such as the post for the giveaway we currently have running. I fully admit I am not skilled enough to create something like that. I could have someone do it, or I could go through and input and tweak everything with AI to produce it, which is the route that we go. It is quick, easy, and gets everything done the way I need it to.

Secondly, we use it to add text onto our own taken and edited photos, such as on our hot takes photos. Another thing I am not skilled at, which is easier to upload my photos and tell it exactly what to add.

Finally, on our photos that involve someone in it, such as myself or my wife, I will upload the picture after doing the editing and have it pixelate mine or the other person’s face. The reason for the pixelation of the faces is simple. I do not mind people knowing who I am, but I also do value mine and my family’s privacy, so if I am able to do something to help maintain that, I will.

In our written content, we use AI in a bit of a different way. We utilize it as a resource to proofread our writing to make sure that it is grammatically correct, help with formatting and flow. We also use it to fact-check on top of what we already do on our own to make sure we are putting factual information into our articles. We do not use it to write for us.

We wanted to write this to make sure that there is full transparency about how we utilize AI. This is becoming commonplace in the creator world. I feel like there are not a lot of people being completely upfront and honest about how they are utilizing it, and we feel that is wrong.
